Ladies Night Out – April 10th March 4, 2008

From Patsy Tolleson – “Ladies, as you know our Ladies Night Out is scheduled for Thursday, April 10th at 6:00 p.m.  We have a wonderful program planned for this year with Rita Sweatt ( www.ritasweatt.com ) as our guest speaker and 9 year old Candy Lee Dobbs providing our entertainment.  BUT, we need your help.

The theme this year is: “God Brings Spring - A New Creation”.  We need Table Hostesses.  Here is all that is required.   Provide a centerpiece that supports the theme of “Spring” or the “New Creation”.  Rita will be doing a program about Mary Magdelene. You can simply have fresh spring flowers in a vase; artificial flowers, or anything that would support this theme.  (One of our ladies, Pat Patten, has done several tables in years past but she will be on a cruise this year and has offered to help anyone plan their table if you will contact her.)  Also sell 8 tickets to ladies who will sit at your table and if you want to provide “chargers” or ”place mats”, you can but it is not required.  That is ALL that is required and if you want to partner with someone to host a table, that would be great!  We will use the church dishes and silverware.   Also, if you have daughters or grand-daughters near the age of Candy Lee and would like to bring them, you are welcome to do that this year!  They will enjoy seeing her sing!  The tickets will again be $10.  Right now, we have 8 Tables being hosted, and we need at least 25 tables!  We need your help!

If you would be willing to serve as a Table Hostess this year, please contact me as soon as possible.  You can e-mail me or call me at 601 856-6632 or 601 260-1502.  We will have the tickets ready to hand out to the hostesses by Sunday, March 9.  We will be selling tickets in the church foyer on Sunday, March 16th and March 23rd.

This year, we will have our food served at the tables by some of our men.  If you want to “donate” a man to help serve, contact Jane Bryan at 601 856-7297.  If you would like to donate a Door Prize or make a contribution for one, contact Sue Case at 601 940-7957.  Sue has promised that we will have LOTS of great door prizes this year – you won’t want to miss it.

Once again, I would encourage you to invite ladies both inside and outside our church, especially those you may know who are not going to church anywhere,  to come with you.  We will begin at 6 and we promise to be out no later than 8:30 p.m.   I would also ask that you begin to pray for Rita and for Candy Lee as they prepare to come. ”
